The Contractor shall operate an arms room ensuring proper security, issuance, return, and accountability of weapons (M4, M11, and M9).  Perform inventory control, to include requisition processing, receiving, issuing and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.  Maintain a weapons issue log and property accountability system of record for the NGA Government lead.  Properly store/maintain ammunition and other explosives as required.  Provide basic maintenance (cleaning and minor repairs) to ensure weapons are mission ready.  The Armorer shall be certified in the repair/maintenance of Government owned weapons and possess experience and a technical knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures of operating a DoD armory.  The Armorer shall complete and deliver inventory of weapons and ammunition, to include serial numbers, round counts, and hand receipts, and report to NGA PMO.  This report shall verify 100% inventory (Weapons Inventory; A007).  If locally required, the armorer shall maintain certification to carry a weapon.

  • (8) years of total experience, (6) years of specialized experience including at least two years working armory support, and a Training Certificate from Military Service or Technical School.
  • Must have strong oral communication skills and proven success working on teams.
